ASN, Talino Host Panel on AI’s Growing Impact in Global Finance

Global Filipinnovation

The Asia Startup Network (ASN), in partnership with Talino Fintech Foundry, convened some of the fintech industry’s sharpest minds to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping financial services and expanding global inclusion.⁣

Held on March 27 at Talino’s office in Ortigas Center, Pasig City, the panel—titled AI in Fintech: Building the Next Wave of Financial Innovation—drew founders, investors, and innovators eager to understand how AI can be harnessed for real-world impact.⁣

Led by Elise Tan, founder and CEO of ASN, and moderated by Germee Ronirose, founder and CEO of Roni AI, the discussion featured a powerhouse lineup: Winston Damarillo, Founder and CEO of Talino Fintech Foundry; Efrain Laureano, COO and Global Development Lead of Higala; Jania Fortes Manalac, SVP2 and Data Science and Analytics Head of the Union Bank of The Philippines; and Olivier Bariou CEO of Doconchain. Together, they unpacked how AI is not just streamlining operations but also unlocking new ways to serve underserved communities.⁣

Damarillo anchored the discussion with a clear message: AI is not something to fear, but a capability to embrace. “AI is a superpower that anyone should learn how to wield,” he said, underscoring the urgency for businesses and individuals alike to adapt. ⁣

He added: “With AI, we can even further enhance the use of stablecoins in global payments like smarter fraud detection and risk management, intelligent compliance for regulatory technology, dynamic liquidity and treasury management, and more.”⁣

Since its founding in 2020, ASN has played a key role in supporting startup ecosystems across Asia. This latest event reinforces its mission—bringing together leaders and ideas that push innovation forward, while ensuring technology serves a broader, more inclusive purpose.

Invest in financial access for the world’s underserved and underrepresented.
